I offer design services for the interiors of new buildings and for buildings under renovation.

Design for Construction or Renovation
Services for new construction and renovation include drawings showing the layout of internal space and the selection of materials and finishes. The drawings typically include closets and built-in cabinetry. The placement of plumbing and light fixtures can be shown, as well as the kitchen layout and the location of major appliances. Material specifications may include flooring, tiles, wall covering, trim, molding, plumbing fixtures and fittings, cabinets, countertops, appliances, light fixtures, hardware, and paint finishes.

Post-Construction Design Services
Post construction services include drawings showing the layout of furniture and objects; the selection of furniture, fabrics, rugs and carpeting, window treatments, lighting, artwork and accessories. Existing furniture may be refinished or reupholstered, and custom designed items may be fabricated.

Additional Services
I am available for consultation on an hourly basis on any aspect of interior design. Services include custom product design; coordination of projects/ project management; and working with kitchen and bath designers to ensure consistency of design throughout the home.

Areas of specialization
Particular areas of specialization are working with color, modernism and 20th Century furniture, sustainable design, art consulting, and the design of personal / sacred spaces.

Fees and Billing
Professional Services are based on an agreed hourly rate. Travel time is charged at 50% of the hourly rate. Please call 510-701-8098 or email me for current rates. I am able to pass on trade discounts which range up to 40%. A percentage charge may be applied for furniture, fabrics, materials and other items located by me for the client.
